Exercise
Exercise not only increases bone density, not only builds muscle tone, burns fat, improves circulation, and heart and lung capacity, but it stimulates the sweat that purges toxins through the skin. Medical practitioners call the skin the third kidney. You see, the two fundamental functions to perpetuate health in our body's physiology is the assimilation of nutrition (air, water and food) and the discarding of waste (carbon dioxide, urinary/fecal and toxic)
While health clubs abound in populated areas, with some charging exhorbitant rates for membership there are simple methods of exercise that are scenic and fun. The most efficient workout for cardiovascular development is the simple act of walking. The reason this is most valuable is due to the low impact on joints, because when they are hard pressed through excessive g-force the wear and tear over time is responsible for knee and hip replacements which have become all too common. If the body is taken care of, the vast majority of present day ailments can be avoided.
And for the fun side of exercise there are simple sporting activities where there is no harmful side effects, such as table tennis or bat mitten. In the case of table tennis, it is the one sport where there is a complete cardiovascular workout while you are essentially standing still. The sweat glands pour out the toxins, your eye-hand coordination improves, reflex response time quickens, and your core muscles for balance are fortified. And in the case of bat mitten, very similar benefits occur without developing "tennis elbow." And because it is played on grass there is no g-force shock to the feet, ankles, knees and hips.
A well-balanced approach to optimize our physical, mental and emotional well-being is worthy of inclusion in our daily regimen of activities. Case and point: the blessing of sunlight in our eyes and on our skin provides a unique combination of nutrients for the body to utilize to maintain optimum efficiency. To deprive the body of natural light brings depression and paleness of countenance. Likewise, to deny our bodies with clean, fresh air and water: or to workout in an environment where city water is your only hydration and overused air in rooms with inappropriate air circulation, these conditions minimize to some extent the advances made. So it is well worth our consideration to implement all available tools to build our physique, our emotional stability, and our understanding, so that we can approach life with a balanced wisdom.
